Our Family Business
Kennedy Excavation is owned and operated by Bert Kennedy. Bert started running heavy equipment with his father when he was 13. After graduating high school, Bert worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Lowbed Driver in Burlington, Massachusetts.
In 2000, Bert moved to Vermont. He started as a Heavy Equipment Operator for S.D. Ireland Brothers in Burlington, Vermont, and quickly became a Construction Superintendent. As a superintendent, Bert specialized in managing large commercial construction jobs.
In 2004, people started asking Bert to do small jobs for them. This turned into a successful side business. By 2006, Bert’s side business reached capacity and Bert made the exciting decision to formally establish Kennedy Excavation, LLC. These days, the entire family contributes to the company, including on the job and in the office.
Our Equipment
Kennedy Excavation, LLC works hard to keep our equipment clean and mechanically sound. We own excavators, skid steer loaders, Volvo loaders, track trucks and a tri-axle dump truck. We use the necessary equipment to get your job done right.
